It’s Friday! We made it to the end of the week, and I’m thankful for that.
After moving into our new place, I needed to take a trip to our old apartment to finish cleaning out the rest of our things. On the way there, I began to talk with God. In the middle of the conversation, I asked, “God, what is it that you need for me to do?” The first word that came to mind was “speak.”
Speak? Speak to who and about what? My nerves began to get the best of me. I boldly asked the same question again, thinking I would get an answer that suited me. The word I got that time was “lead.” I told God, “I’m sure you want me to be able to speak and lead but are you sure I’m the person for this job?”
I have a tough time speaking in front of people, and leading people is something I never thought I could do. Before I completely dismissed the words given to me, I countered my nervousness with these words:
If God sees it within me that I can do these things, then I’m going to do them to the best of my abilities. I may stumble, but I’ll keep pushing forward. I may need help along the way, but I know God will send me the help I need. I got this (whatever “this” is).
I encourage you today to ask God what it is that He desires for you to do. The answer you get may shock you, maybe even scare you, but don’t fear. If God calls you to do it, He will guide you through it!
Have a fantastic Friday and a relaxing weekend!
