I hope you’ve had a fantastic week. One major highlight for me this week would have to be accomplishing a milestone and relaxation on Thursday. For starters, I learned how to ride a skateboard! That was such a frightening and invigorating experience. I’d always wanted to learn how to ride a skateboard but was too scared to do it.
The first couple of attempts were horrible. I slipped off of the skateboard quite a few times before I got the hang of it. As soon as I was comfortable taking off, I worked up the nerve to add more speed. Let me tell you, riding that skateboard made me feel free. I felt like a teenager, full of life and not a worry in sight. I left the park that day wanting a skateboard of my own (if I get one, I’ll let you know).
Another exciting thing that occurred that same day was a trip to the beach. If there’s one thing I want you to know about me is that I love the beach. I enjoy taking in all of the sounds and sights around me. When I’m near the ocean, I have no worries. I’m entirely at peace. God only knew how much I needed to be there yesterday.
What exciting happened to you this week? Let me know in the comment section below!
Today, I want to share a list of scriptures that are helpful in times of trouble and doubt. Many things can happen in our lives that cause us to worry and doubt. Although you want to give in to the fear and negative thoughts roaming around inside your mind, it’s best to pray and then do your best to make the situation better.
Refer to this list whenever the feelings of worry and uncertainty are too much to bear:
Psalm 56:16 – “But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.”
Exodus 15:2 – “The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”
2 Timothy 1:7 – “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
1 Corinthians 16:13 – “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”
Isaiah 40:29 – “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
Have a wonderful day and a relaxing weekend!
